Above and to the left is the progress done with gravity sketch, a VR modeling application, with the coloring and lighting started on the right side. Below is the finalized product.

Recently I’ve taken it upon myself to learn 3D
I started with Adobe Dimension as an entry into the medium. research showed that it is a flexible, user friendly software, with a simple learning curve and created with product design in mind. It has limitations though it was a good gateway into starting 3D.
My first 3D project was prototyping a splash product image for a gum brand. Fun project and a good cause. I combined LGBTQ+ awareness and puns.
I dissected and learned from packaging to see how it is built and assembled. After research, brainstorming and refining concepts, I built a brand outline and flavor systems. I found Adobe cloud to be the most efficient method for logos within Dimension.

I followed the same procedure here. Glass is typically a challenge with 3d it was important I started learning how it should look and behave.
I also decided to start trying to work with Plant life and naturally matte objects like stones.
As interesting of a challenge as this was, it was unfortunately due more to working around its abundant limitations. I managed this with a combination of Illustrator and Photoshop.
While the ability to handle the label looking like something tangible on the surface was possible within the program's various surface adjustments and materials, it couldn't handle imported graphics.

After I finished Dimension I opted to approach Blender next. Not only is it free but its rapidly growing into fulfilling the needs for several industries. It also had community support and tutorials. I took on the classic donut with coffee. However I opted for my own twist instead of a standard rich coffee and pink frosting donut.
I decided oolong tea and a chocolate donut so I could explore the program instead of just copying tutorials. I am still working my way through that class but I'm rather pleased with the result. I hope to also learn how to animate within Blender as well as really dig into the sculpture mechanics.

As a little bonus since this doesn't fit into the watercolor section Please enjoy my bronze statue that had the wonderful opportunity to be featured in 2 shows.
