Basic construction breakdown
Knowing the main goal was an enamel pin it was understood less is more, especially with regard to color. After 3 colors with enamel pins the cost goes up significantly and becomes less readable overall. I'm satisfied with the final result.

The first step involved studying different origami patterns and discerning how the folds work. Before this I hadn't had much experience in regard to geometric designs but I love origami.

I knew that if I was going to do this I had to make it right and was important that each design could be folded from paper. When I got stuck I would start folding a piece of paper to see more of how something would work.

I streamlined my process and focused on the linework first. After that it was plug and play to make iterations and color decisions quickly.

After testing how my target audience reacted to them I played with paper types and colors as well as size variations for young animals. I ended up with 13 animals and 17 designs total. Those were just as well recieved and I decided this was worth pursuing further and that there was demand for this type of product.

To date a limited run of sticker sheets and the Fox pin have been made and distributed with plans for the both cat and rabbit designs to be made next. These designs have also been praised by members of the origami community.
